Job summary

Smarty, LLC. is seeking software engineer interns for an onsite program in our Orem, Utah office. The internship runs from January 2027 through the end of Summer Term (mid-August 2027). We expect a minimum of 15+ hours per week during Winter/Spring terms, with potential for additional hours in the Summer term.

You will collaborate with a small team of software engineers to build and integrate backend and API products, learning and growing while delivering meaningful software solutions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in CS or EE.

This paid internship for students extends from January 2027 to the end of Summer Term (mid-August 2027). We are looking for a minimum of 15+ hours/week during Winter/Spring Terms, with the opportunity to work additional hours during the Summer term.

You will work closely with a small yet stellar team of software engineers to build and integrate our business backend and API products. You'll be at the forefront of innovation in location data intelligence by creating meaningful experiences for customers while learning the answers to life, the universe and everything.

** This role is onsite, non-remote, in our Orem office. **

Requirements

• Working towards a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
