Job summary

Smarty, an established address data intelligence company, invites students pursuing a BS in CS or ECE to join our team as software engineer interns onsite in Orem, UT. You will work with a small, bright team to build and integrate backend and API products, while gaining hands-on experience through meaningful projects and growth opportunities.

This paid internship runs January 2027 through the end of Summer Term (mid-August 2027).

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in software development through class projects or internships.
• Knowledge of relational databases.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with programming languages.
• Analytical mind with problem solving attitude.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Willing to work onsite in Orem, UT.

This paid internship for students extends from January 2027 to the end of Summer Term (mid-August 2027). We are looking for a minimum of 15+ hours/week during Winter/Spring Terms, with the opportunity to work additional hours during the Summer term.

You will work closely with a small yet stellar team of software engineers to build and integrate our business backend and API products. You'll be at the forefront of innovation in location data intelligence by creating meaningful experiences for customers while learning the answers to life, the universe and everything.

This role is onsite, non-remote, in our Orem office.
