BCT LLC is seeking a Software Engineer III with an active TS/SCI w/FS Poly. The role emphasizes testing for hardware and large data systems, with strong Linux, scripting, and REST API skills in support of formal test events.

Responsibilities include designing testing scripts, reviewing system requirements, collaborating on test plans, and SAFe participation. The candidate must be proficient in Python, Bash, and database queries, with experience in Git and CI/CD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or C++.
• Comfortable with Linux/Unix CLI and scripting.
• Develop test cases from system requirements.
• Extensive Linux CLI knowledge: file systems, permissions, processes.
• Proficient in one or more scripting languages: Python, Bash, Perl.
• Experience with database querying; Splunk preferred.
• Understanding of REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement testing scripts and strategies, incl. automated test execution and data analysis.
• Review HPC system docs and develop code to test and validate requirements.
• Collaborate with team to develop and execute test plans for HPC systems.
• Independently test and validate HPC systems per test plans.
• Participate in SAFe activities and agile ceremonies.
• Use Linux CLI and scripting to troubleshoot hardware and automate tests.
• Develop complex database queries and analyze data across platforms.
