THE TEAM

Software Delivery Platform is a tight-knit passionate group of software engineers who focus on and take pride in making Box engineers more productive. The team builds the CI/CD platform that enables Box to deliver high quality software in a fast, efficient, reliable, and secure way. The team builds on top of various vendor and open-source tools like Github, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, Harness, etc., integrates them with each other and with our home-grown Box tooling to provide a consistent and seamless experience to Box Engineering teams. We’re looking for someone with a strong software engineering background who is passionate advocate for making developers more efficient and productive.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

1. Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient CI/CD platform to where engineering teams can host their automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
2. Collaborate across the users of the platform and partner teams to deliver the critical improvements to the CI/CD platform.
3. Work with Box Architects and Vendors to design and implement secure, efficient, and reliable CI/CD solutions.
4. Capture and monitor the key metrics of the CI/CD ecosystem, and use them to continuously improve the platform.
5. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in CI/CD and other DevOps spaces.

WHO YOU ARE

1. 3+ years of software development experience in DevOps or Backend Engineering
2. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
3. Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Java, or Go.
4. Experience with a version control system (e.g. Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
5. Passion for improving developer productivity and efficiency.
6. Experience working in a environment that follows Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Prior experience with building and maintaining CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Gitlab CI, CircleCI, etc.) is a plus.
2. Experience with managing Artifact management system like Artifactory or docker registries.
3. Experience with Public cloud platforms, especially AWS and Google Cloud.
4. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
5. Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
