Job summary

Bank of America in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to develop and deliver complex Java-based solutions. You will ensure compliance, performance, and maintainability while collaborating with enterprise architecture for scalable web services and modern UI tech.

Responsibilities include coding, design, CI/CD mentoring, spike testing, release automation, and automated test development. A strong Java background with Spring/Hibernate and REST services is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering or job relevance
  • 5+ years of designing and building Java applications
  • Experience with Core Java and libraries (C-based)
  • Proficiency in Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Web services, HTML5, and JS frameworks
  • Mandatory skills include SQL; Java, Spring MVC, Hibernate, Maven, Eclipse, JSON/XML, Web services
  • Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Node.js, Spring, Hibernate, Web services and database skills
  • Strong OOP concepts and collaborative design with enterprise teams
  • Version control with Git/Bitbucket and CI/CD familiarity
  • Experience with Swift, REST, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, XML and JSON Services
  • Proficiency in building web apps and designing JSON services
  • Experience with CI & unit tests and identifying bottlenecks

Responsibilities

  • Designs and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while maintaining architecture integrity

  • Automates manual release activities

Position Summary:

This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.

  • Must have development experience in Core Java & Knowledge of C-based libraries.
  • Profile with strong working experience on Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Webservices, HTML5,Javascript frame works (ReactJS, Angular JS etc.)

  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts

  • Review and identifying potential design issues and resolving application bottlenecks.
  • Proficient in code versioning tools including Git, Bitbucket.
  • Publishing application on App Store.
  • Maintaining the code and atomization of the application.
  • Designing and implementing application updates.
  • Proficient in Swift, Web Services, Rest Services, Core Java, CSS, HTML, Java Script, XML
  • Experience designing web applications and JSON Services
  • Experience with continuous integration & Unit tests.
  • Identifying potential problems and resolving application bottlenecks.
  • Coordinates and implements designing and implementing application updates.

Pay range

$102,900.00 - $179,900.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
