Job summary

Bank of America is building an AWS-hosted Healthcare Payments platform and seeks a software engineer to develop and deliver complex requirements while ensuring compliance, maintainability, and testability.

The role focuses on designing architecture components, mentoring peers in CI/CD, and delivering automated tests and release automation in a fast-paced, regulated setting.

Qualifications

• At least 7+ years experience in Software Engineering in highly regulated environments.
• Proficient in C# and/or JAVA development, including Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
• Has experience in Test Driven development tools Jnit, Mockito.
• Experience building RESTful web services based applications.
• Strong hands on Database working knowledge with common RDBMS such as Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Experience in CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, BitBucket and other build/deployment tools/process.
• Good interpersonal communication skills for technical and business conversations.
• Leadership qualities to collaborate in an environment with developers in multiple geographical location.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and able to work in a fast paced agile work space.

Responsibilities

• Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
• Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
• Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
• Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
• Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
• Automates manual release activities
• Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)

Position Summary:

Healthcare Payments is the bank's first AWS hosted In-Production platform. We are looking for a Software Engineer with the skillset to support the expanding and revenue generating platform.

Pay range

$102,900.00 - $179,900.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
