Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a software engineer to develop and deliver complex requirements across authentication, data, and integration layers. You will ensure software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance standards while emphasizing maintainability and testability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with web services development and REST interfaces.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational DBs and ETL tools.

Responsibilities

  • Codes solutions and unit tests to meet acceptance criteria and compliance.
  • Designs and modifies architecture components and interfaces with integrity.
  • Mentors engineers and coaches CI/CD practices and automation tool stacks.
  • Estimates work, refines requirements, and guides delivery lifecycle.
  • Performs spikes/POCs to mitigate risk and explore ideas.
  • Automates release activities and maintains test suites.

Job Description:

This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.

Responsibilities:
  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
  • Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
  • Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
  • Automates manual release activities
  • Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
  • Partner with senior Technology and Business executives to define and execute target-state data strategy initiatives.
  • Feature Lead that drives and manages all data efforts for Credit Sync
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Credit Syncapplication and GBAZ platform teams to deliver strategic roadmap priorities.
  • Drive innovation and enterprise-scale AI implementation in support of GBCT strategic vision and transformation objectives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering ,Computer Science ,IT or job related field required .
  • 3+ Years of job related experience required
  • Experience with web services development and REST interfaces
  • Experience in non-relational and relational DB's ETL looks like Informatica or others
  • Experience with all or some of the following technologies: JavaScript, Relational DBs (Oracle/SQL Server), Java, SpringBoot
  • Experience building distributed and scalable complex services as well as robust micro services.
  • Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements.
  • Participate and guide team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
  • Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
  • Code solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
  • Utilize multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements.
  • Assist team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
  • Demonstrate exceptional analytical skills and problem solving skills; excellent organizational, communication skills
  • A good team-player who seeks input and involves others in his/her communications; a person who values and cultivates relationships
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with JIRA tool and infrastructure
  • Financial industry experience desired .
