Team members collaborate across IT, academic and administrative units, and vendors to solve problems, reduce risk, and deliver measurable outcomes for the University.
Designs and implements software and integrations between enterprise systems, third-party platforms, and data sources to support reliable data exchange and process continuity. Develops integration and load tests to validate system connectivity and data integrity. Provides expert knowledge on maintaining, monitoring, and debugging live systems and integration pipelines. Works with project teams to translate broad requirements into well-defined features and tasks, with particular attention to integration patterns, data flow, and system dependencies.
Plans, designs, and implements full-stack custom software solutions that may cross multiple technologies, multiple products and/or organizational units. Ensures applications meet functional, technical and security requirements; evaluates code to ensure it meets industry standards and is valid, properly structured, and compatible with browsers, devices, and operating systems. Performs detailed problem analysis and research, identifies options, proposes solutions. Utilizes business and technical knowledge and experience to identify and analyze needs in order to create solutions to meet unique and potentially conflicting customer requirements.
Manages and resolves complex and ambiguous issues. Works on both strategic and operational challenges, addressing problems that require advanced knowledge and experience. Often takes on leadership roles in projects or initiatives.
Provides mentorship and guidance to team. Infrequently has a limited number of direct reports.
May have budgetary responsibility for small-scale projects or initiatives.
Solves complex problems, often with limited guidance.
Works independently; seeks guidance for unusual situations.
Collaborates with team members and external departments. May represent the team in meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5 or more years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.
