Job summary

BCT LLC is seeking a Software Engineer II with active TS/SCI with POLY to design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain, and enhance complex software systems across analytics, data processing, and real-time applications.

The role emphasizes agile development, CM tools, Git, and collaboration in a team environment; experience with Docker and cloud-based solutions is preferred. The position is based in Maryland with opportunities to lead teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline with 3+ years SWE experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline with 5+ years SWE experience OR
• Seven years of SWE experience in programs of similar scope and complexity

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance and user needs.
• Oversee one or more software development teams in project contexts.
• Develop and implement algorithms to meet performance standards.
• Develop cloud-based solutions and technologies.
