Job summary

RTX is seeking software engineers for its Tewksbury, MA and broader U.S. teams to deliver world-class aerospace software across Battle Management, C2, Communications, and more. You will contribute to development, testing, and integration of complex systems in a fast-paced defense environment.

The role requires a STEM degree and 2+ years in OO languages (C++, C#, Java) with experience in Agile settings. Security clearance and relocation eligibility may be involved.

We are looking to add software engineers to our development team for a wide array of products including Battle Management, Command & Control, Communications, Effectors, and Surveillance and Warning systems. • Participate in collaborative, cross-discipline integrated product teams, employ agile software development techniques and resources to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related (STEM) discipline
• Minimum of two (2) or more years of relevant software programming experience in development, integration, and/or test using C++, C#, Java or similar object-oriented software language

• Strong problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills
• Desire and ability to learn new technologies and tools
• Experience working in Agile environment such as Scrum, Scrum @ Scale, SAFe, Test-Driven Development, DevSecOps
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
• Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems
• Experience with integrated development tools such as Azure, Git, Atlassian Suite, Jenkins, Eclipse, and Ansible
• Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development pipeline
• Knowledge of Red Hat and/or Linux Operating Systems
• Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles

Salary

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
