Job summary

Akina, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer 2 to join our Columbia, MD team. You will work on infrastructure automation, Python-based tools, and AI workflows in a government-aligned AWS environment. The role emphasizes secure, reliable platform design and developer-friendly pipelines.

You will contribute to Terraform-based infrastructure, CI/CD automation, and container orchestration with Kubernetes/Rancher while collaborating across teams to meet security and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform within an AWS stack.
• Create and optimize CI/CD pipelines for multi-environment deployments and testing.
• Utilize Kubernetes and Rancher to manage containerized workloads and infrastructures.
• Develop Python-based applications and tools to support data processing and AI usage.
• Collaborate with partner teams to deliver solutions with strict security and compliance.
