Job summary

Akina, Inc. is seeking a Development Operations Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD to design, deploy, and support containerized and cloud-native systems. You will work with Kubernetes clusters, Linux administration, and Python scripts to automate deployments and ensure secure, scalable operations.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and offers a robust compensation package, including generous PTO, 401k with 10% company contribution, healthcare coverage, and educational assistance.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years' experience with software and system deployments and Linux administration.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitLab.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes and managing clusters for HA, scalability and security.
• Active IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570 compliant cert (Security+).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; substitutions allowed as described.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate software and system deployments.
• Configure and optimize networks to connect front-end and back-end components.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Linux systems and containerized environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and IaC tooling.
• Ensure high availability, security, and performance in hybrid cloud environments.
