Job summary

Akina Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer 1 to join the Platform team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, focusing on AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, and security posture for AI capabilities.

The role involves deploying and maintaining scalable, secure infrastructure and building reliable CI/CD pipelines. Required skills include Python, AWS, and Docker, with experience in CI/CD, observability, and security practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years SWE experience in similar scope.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting AI capabilities (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for reliable deployments.
• Configure observability tooling and monitor health of production services.
• Support certificate management and follow security best practices for AI systems and data.
• Collaborate with other teams to provision and configure infrastructure their services depend on.
• Diagnose and help resolve production infrastructure issues.
