Job summary

Amazon’s Devices & Services Trust CX Innovations team seeks a Software Development Engineer II to design privacy-preserving AI architectures and on-device systems for trustworthy customer experiences across Alexa, Echo, and ambient devices.

You will collaborate with Principal Engineers and Leaders to implement federated learning, differential privacy, and consumer-facing trust features while balancing performance with privacy at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
• 3+ years of Video Games Industry experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement privacy-preserving AI architectures and frameworks.
• Build explainable AI interfaces and privacy dashboards for users.
• Develop on-device vs. cloud processing trade-offs to balance privacy and performance.
• Create guardrails and evaluation systems for safety, accuracy, and bias.

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
