Join our team as a Software Engineer II – Platform, where you'll enhance system reliability and performance in a distributed environment. You'll integrate advanced observability tools, implement resiliency patterns in .NET applications, and collaborate across teams to ensure platform best practices. You'll also optimize CI/CD pipelines and improve the scalability and efficiency of containerized microservices in Kubernetes.

Interesting problems you’ll get to solve

• Integrate advanced logging, monitoring, and tracing frameworks to gain deep insights into system behavior and enable rapid troubleshooting in a distributed environment.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks in .NET applications, and implement resiliency patterns such as retries, circuit breakers, and fallback strategies.
• Work closely with teams across QA, security, architecture, and operations to ensure seamless integration of features and adherence to best practices across the platform.
• Design and refine automated pipelines for building, testing, and deploying .NET microservices efficiently and reliably.
• Monitor and analyze the performance of C# applications running in containers and managed by Kubernetes, then identify opportunities to optimize scalability, reliability, and overall system efficiency.

What you’ll bring to the team

• You have at least 3 years of demonstrated professional experience in the backend software engineering space.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with C# or similar programming language.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with tools such as Terraform or ARM templates for managing cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and an understanding of microservices and distributed architectures.
• Practical experience in building and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Skills in monitoring, logging, and performance optimization using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.

Zip is committed to a straightforward and transparent pay structure. The actual base salary will be determined by various individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, location, internal equity, as well as other objective business considerations.

The annual base Pay Range for this position is $130,000-$140,000. This range reflects our US national compensation (USN). Additional premium percentages may apply based on our tiered premium strategy. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. If hired, employees will be in an 'at-will position' and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
