Job summary

TheIncLab is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our engineering team in a role that blends prototyping for prospective customers with building internal software products.

You will contribute to full-stack development using Node.js, Typescript, Rust, and C# while collaborating with UI/UX and product teams to deliver high-quality features. The position supports hybrid work and requires up to 15% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems or related field.
• 3+ years of software development with full-stack experience.
• Proficiency in Node.js, Typescript and/or .NET (C#).
• Experience with frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience in building and deploying web/desktop/mobile applications.
• Understanding of databases and performance measurement.
• Experience with containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with REST, WebSockets, and message queues (Kafka).
• Git version control experience.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications.
• Build features and debug applications with minimal supervision.
• Provide technical input and follow architectural direction.
• Implement and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Work with frontend frameworks to create dynamic UIs.
• Collaborate with UI/UX and product teams to understand customer needs.
• Document progress using Git, Jira, and Confluence.
• Participate in peer code reviews to uphold coding standards.
• Stay updated with evolving technologies and best practices.
• Travel up to 15%.
