Job summary

Johnson Health Tech is seeking a Software Engineer II to help advance embedded firmware, mobile, desktop, web, and cloud applications across connected fitness products.

In this generalist role, you will own features within projects, collaborate with product management, and contribute to IP development while moving quickly in a manufacturing environment.

The position is non-supervisory and requires proactive problem solving and ability to work with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Education required: Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or equivalent.
• Typically 2-5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in C++, C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Understand and integrate new technologies into Johnson products.
• Design, implement, test, and debug software across the stack.
• Create PoCs and collaborate with Product Management for refinement.
• Evaluate viability and mitigate risks.
• Transition PoCs to engineering teams based on Asia sourcing and manufacturing.
• Develop and document design specifications.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to IP workarounds and new IP.
• Handle other projects as assigned.
