Job summary

EKN Engineering is seeking a Software Developer II to drive full stack development for client-facing applications. You will maintain systems, implement incident response, and ensure service levels are met while collaborating with product teams and management.

Ideal candidates are hands-on, product-minded, and proficient in ReactJS, Docker/Kubernetes, and AI-assisted tooling. You will design scalable architectures and contribute to secure, reliable software across cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a full stack developer.
• Proficiency in ReactJS.
• Experience with message queuing technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
• Experience with API communication patterns such as REST API, WebSockets, and RPC.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with system architecture, application design, database design and query optimization.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude Code, to support software design, implementation, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Developing applications backed by RDBMS (e.g. PostgreSQL).
• Experience with AWS (Azure or GCP also considered).
• Experience with authentication and authorization standards (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect) and role-based access control
• Experience handling sensitive data, including encryption, secrets management and access controls
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-driven team player with ability to work independently and multi-task
• Proven record in setting and meeting project deadlines

Responsibilities

• Develop full stack web applications to improve speed and efficiency of software products.
• Design, develop, and maintain SaaS applications.
• Responsible AI-assisted development with automated testing and code reviews.
• Research and adapt to emerging technologies.
• Assist in solving technology-related problems and estimate effort with product managers.
• Respond to after-hours incidents including triage and root-cause analysis.
• Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Build, deploy, and operate containerized services on Kubernetes via CI/CD pipelines.
