Job summary

RS21 is seeking a Software Developer II, Full Stack to independently develop, test, and deploy production features across client engagements. You will own features from requirements through production deployment, with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and clear architectural decisions.

The role requires strong backend skills (Python/Java/TypeScript/Go), frontend familiarity with React, and hands-on AWS experience (Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, S3).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on software development experience with full lifecycle ownership.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages (Python, Java, TypeScript/Node.js, or Go) and familiarity with React.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, S3).
• Experience with CI/CD, version control, and Docker containerization.
• Ability to write clean, tested production-grade code with observability and error handling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy web features across RS21 client engagements.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries and design REST APIs.
• Build serverless and containerized architectures on AWS and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement observability, monitoring, and error handling for production systems.
• Coach junior developers through code reviews and pairing.
