Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer II to support on-site development for the Ship's Signal Exploitation Equipment family. You will identify and orchestrate integration across software branches and refactor legacy code to improve efficiency and modularity.

The role requires 2+ years of software development experience with Java, Python, or Node.js, RESTful API work, and CI/CD tooling.

Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of software development experience.
Proficient in Java, Python, or Node.js.
Experience developing/integrating RESTful APIs.
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, Bitbucket).
DoD 8570 IAT II certification or ability to obtain within six months.
Strong written communication and ability to express ideas clearly.
Self-starter with ability to multitask and work on multiple tasks with deadlines.

Responsibilities

Identify, de-conflict and orchestrate integration of competing software branches.
Refactor legacy Java/JavaScript code for efficiency.
Build modular, highly reusable code.
Lead self-directed research and design new systems.
Research integrations between systems to provide new functionality.
Troubleshoot existing Java code.
Suggest new features and improvements for system functionality.
