Job summary

Lyntris seeks a Software Engineer II to design, develop, deploy, and maintain mission-critical software for DoD C2 operations. You will work on containerized web apps and services, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver secure, scalable solutions for Navy warfighters.

The role emphasizes independent work, initiative, and transitioning ideas into production with modern tech such as Java Quarkus, React, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or STEM field with 4+ years of related work experience, or 8 years with equivalent.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks.
• Experience with REST API design, implementation, or consumption.
• Knowledge of software build dependency management principles and tools.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and implement containerized web applications and services for the DoD in an orchestrated, controlled manner.
• Collaborate with engineers and SMEs to design, implement, and sustain mission-critical software for Navy warfighters.
• Proactively propose solutions to meet warfighter demands and address new problems.
