Job summary

Epsilon C5I, a division of Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. in San Diego, CA, seeks a Software Engineer II to advance software for command, control, intelligence, and combat systems.

The role involves agile development, containerized services, and working on challenging projects for warfighters. You will design, implement, and integrate software powering data mediation and machine-to-machine messaging, while mentoring junior engineers and supporting field deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 2-6 years in a software engineering role.
• DoD IAT Level II or equivalent eligibility.
• 2+ years with container platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes/Docker/Helm).
• Experience with VM/ AWS/ Containers/ Ansible/ Python.
• Experience with troubleshooting in RHEL environments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance and be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an AGILE software development and integration environment.
• Assist with trouble tickets using Confluence and JIRA.
• Integrate multi-functional apps into container-based services.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code meeting requirements.
• Troubleshoot defects and deploy timely fixes.
• Document code using government CM tools.
• Deploy and troubleshoot software at fleet/Navy facilities.
• Mentor junior team members and lead subsets of engineers by tasking.
