Job summary

John Deere is seeking a Software Engineer II (CA) in Moline, IL to design, develop and deploy enterprise software solutions. The role emphasizes API development, data engineering, and cloud deployment with AWS services, Databricks, and Java/Python stacks.

Onsite work four days a week and collaboration with cross-functional teams are required. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering and at least 3 years of hands-on experience in data architecture, APIs, and enterprise

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in design and build data architecture and API development
• 3 years building data engineering pipelines and APIs for high-quality data solutions
• 3 years deploying Java- and Python-based apps on AWS with ECS, S3, RDS, API Gateway and EC2
• Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, APIM, AppDynamics
• Hands-on DB design and data modeling with DB2, PostgreSQL, HANA; real-time sync across IMS, DB2, RDS, HANA, SAP
• Experience with SAP MDG and SAP Business Partner models

Responsibilities

• Develop, code, configure, and test programs and systems
• Evaluate and implement design enhancements to improve cost, quality and performance of software applications
• Analyze software requirements and define specifications to meet objectives
• Document activities as directed
• Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to ensure features meet business needs
• Adhere to Agile software development methodologies and documentation
• This onsite role requires being in the office 4 days per week
