Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Software Engineer for the Low-side LMS team in Hanover, MD, developing cyber training software and supporting infrastructure across multiple locations. You will contribute across the software lifecycle, collaborating with instructors, developers, and admins to deliver reliable training capabilities.

The role emphasizes solving complex technical challenges, learning new technologies, and contributing to design, integration, and deployment of scalable software systems.

Qualifications

• Experience developing with Ruby, Rails, Java or C++.
• Proficiency in web UI design using HTML, CSS, AJAX, JSON/XML, JavaScript/TypeScript and JQuery.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL and relational databases (MySQL/MongoDB preferred).
• Experience working in agile teams with backlog execution, sprints and iterative delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain software applications supporting cyber training environments.
• Analyze requirements and develop technical solutions for mission and customer needs.
• Develop UIs, backend services, APIs, automation tools, and data processing solutions.
• Contribute to software development pipelines and CI/CD processes.
