Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer II on the PXT team to shape AI-powered HR experiences. You will design and build platform features that combine AWS services with generative AI to deliver personalized, efficient employee support globally.

You will collaborate with product managers and senior engineers, mentor teammates, and ensure scalable, secure integrations across HR systems while following best practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Responsibilities

• Design and develop critical platform features that are highly scalable and maintainable.
• Architect and implement AI-powered solutions using AWS services to enable predictive support capabilities and automated workflow orchestration.
• Design robust integration patterns between multiple HR systems while ensuring data security and compliance, and translate complex business requirements into clear technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers on your team through code reviews and design discussions, raising the bar on code quality and engineering practices.
• Partner with product managers, business stakeholders, and senior engineers to drive architectural decisions and deliver team-level goals.
