Job summary

Amazon Vulnerability Management Services in Austin, TX seeks a Software Development Engineer II to join the Discovery Insights Foundry team. You will build AI-driven leadership reporting and dashboards to give senior leaders real-time visibility into vulnerability management across AWS.

You will work across full-stack engineering with Java and Python, leveraging AWS services and data tooling to deliver scalable solutions used by VP and Director-level leaders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Responsibilities

• Architecture Design and Review
• Software Feature development in Java and Python using AWS services (S3, Lambda, SQS, Fargate/ECS, EMR, Spark, etc.)
• Setting and achieving a high bar for Operational Excellence
• Earning trust in all directions; building partnerships with technical internal Amazon stakeholders WW
• System resilience testing and preparation
• Software project planning using Agile Methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
