Job summary

Amazon Security is seeking engineers to design and build hyper-scale software in a secure, resilient environment headquartered in Austin, TX.

You will work on architecture review, feature development in Java/Python on AWS, and collaborate with global stakeholders to raise the bar for security and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Architecture Design and Review.
• Software Feature development in Java and Python using AWS services (S3, Lambda, SQS, Fargate/ECS, EMR, Spark, etc.).
• Setting and achieving a high bar for Operational Excellence.
• Earning trust in all directions; building partnerships with technical internal Amazon stakeholders WW.
• System resilience testing and preparation.
• Software project planning using Agile Methodologies (Scrum).
