Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a Software Dev Engineer II for Enterprise Security Products. You will design, build, and ship AI-powered security tools and services across full stack, deployed on AWS and cloud-agnostic environments.

Collaborate with researchers, PMs, and designers to craft scalable security solutions. You will own end-to-end features, contribute to engineering culture, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new and existing systems.
• 1+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications.
• Experience in AI assisted or agentic coding practices.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship AI-powered security products: full lifecycle from architecture to production deployment.
• Engineer end-to-end, full-stack experiences across REST APIs, front-end, and back-end services.
• Build intuitive interfaces and design for cloud-agnostic multi-cloud environments.
• Write, test, review, and ship code faster using AI-assisted development workflows.
• Plan, estimate, and drive delivery with autonomy in a startup-like environment.
• Prototype rapidly and validate hypotheses with customers.
• Collaborate with security researchers, scientists, product managers, and UX designers.
• Own operational excellence: on-call rotations, root-cause analysis, reliability, performance, and security.
• Mentor teammates and help shape engineering culture.
