JPMorganChase's Corporate Sector, Chief Data and Analytics team, seeks a Software Engineer II to join an agile, security-conscious environment dedicated to designing, developing, and delivering scalable software components across firm-wide products.

The role emphasizes modern programming languages, AI-enabled tooling, and end-to-end SDLC participation, with growth opportunities within a large financial institution.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience with modern programming languages.
• Experience in using GPT, LLM, RAG, Gen AI, and Prompt Engineering related technologies.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Current experience of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.
• Understanding of APIs, concurrency, and related software design concepts.
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end SDLC activities and secure coding practices.
• Experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools and evaluation of AI-generated outputs.
• Familiarity with responsible AI use in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Executes standard software solution design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Writes secure, high-quality code in at least one language with limited guidance.
• Utilizes AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity while ensuring peer review and secure coding standards.
• Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream/downstream systems.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation value.
• Performs technical troubleshooting of basic complexity to resolve issues.
• Analyzes large, diverse data sets to identify problems and support secure, stable development.
• Learns and applies system processes for secure, stable code and systems.
