Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Software Development Engineer II for the Digital Acceleration team. You will design, implement, and deploy AI-native features in Java on AWS, integrating AI models into commerce workflows and collaborating with PMs and engineers to deliver high-quality software.

You will troubleshoot production issues, improve reliability, and write clean, efficient code while aligning with product goals across multiple digital services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience on large systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered software applications.
• Experience programming in Java or C++ and OO design.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and deploy AI-native feature standardizations in Java on AWS.
• Integrate AI models and knowledge bases into commerce workflows.
• Write maintainable code with sound data structures and algorithms.
• Collaborate with PMs and engineers on scoping, reviews, and support.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability.
