Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Software Engineer II in the Enterprise AI Platforms group. You will join a strategic, collaborative team delivering AI-enabled capabilities that accelerate generative AI applications across the enterprise.

With 4+ years of hands-on software development, you will design, implement, and scale production-grade AI harnesses, mentor peers, and engage with business stakeholders to translate complex tech into measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related STEM field and equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including AI-related delivery.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with TypeScript for AI integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver production-grade harness capabilities used to build AI apps.
• Drive architecture and system design for agentic components across teams.
• Ensure alignment to enterprise standards for source control, testing, CI/CD.
• Advance test automation and improve harness quality in production.
• Identify cross-team dependencies and bottlenecks to speed delivery.
• Mentor engineers and contribute reusable capabilities across projects.
• Translate technical direction into business-relevant terms for stakeholders.
• Share harness patterns in cross-organizational engineering forums.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
