Tailored Management is seeking a Software Engineer II in South San Francisco, onsite at 1 DNA Way. The role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing tools for rapid clinical trial development, helping bring medicines to patients faster.

You will work with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver scalable software, build UI with ReactJS, implement test automation, and support CI/CD pipelines in an Agile environment using AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on building scalable production web applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into scalable end-to-end software solutions.
• Build and maintain responsive UI and applications using modern JavaScript and ReactJS.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, e2e) with Playwright, PyTest and Jest.
• Drive DevOps practices by building and managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Provision, manage, and monitor AWS cloud infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes and IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Participate in full SDLC in an Agile environment including design, coding, reviews, and architecture planning.

Pay Rate:$54.75-$76.99/hr (W2) Based on Experience

Position Summary:

Seeking an experienced Software Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing tools and platforms that enable the acceleration of clinical trial development, ultimately bringing life-changing medicines to patients faster.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with a cross functional team of engineers, analysts and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable end-to-end software solutions
• Build, and maintain highly responsive and intuitive user interfaces and applications using modern JavaScript and ReactJS
• Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test automation suites (unit, integration, and end-to-end) using tools such as Playwright, PyTest and Jest to ensure high code quality and software reliability
• Drive DevOps best practices by building and managing robust CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI) for automated testing and continuous deployment
• Provision, manage, and monitor cloud infrastructure (AWS) utilizing containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle within an Agile environment, including system design, coding, code reviews, and architecture planning.

Skills

• 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on building, and supporting scalable production web applications
• Effective use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, etc.) to enhance coding efficiency, testing, and documentation
• Proficiency in backend development using Python (experience with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django)
• Proficiency in frontend development using JavaScript (ES6+) and ReactJS
• Experience with AWS, and modern DevOps/deployment practices (Docker, CI/CD tools, IaC)
• Experience writing automated tests and working with modern testing frameworks for both front-end and back-end
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building data-intensive applications that manipulate and visualize complex datasets
• Hands-on experience providing operational support for production applications, including system monitoring, incident response, and infrastructure troubleshooting
• Experience designing and developing robust end-to-end automated test frameworks to ensure quality and reliability across complex production web applications
• Proficiency in SQL for writing complex queries, and optimizing database performance (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Knowledge of industry data standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11, GxPand HIPAA/GDPR)
