Job summary

Lyntris, a defense technology company, is seeking a Software Engineer II for full-time onsite in San Diego. The role focuses on researching, designing, and implementing containerized web applications and services for the DoD, using Java, Groovy, Kotlin, and front-end frameworks. You will contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration.

Active U.S. national security clearance is required or achievable, with opportunities to work across Navy, Army, Air Force, Space

Qualifications

• Active U.S. national security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Associate degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of five years in software development.
• Familiarity with Java, Groovy, Kotlin, or other OOP languages.
• Comfortable working in Linux environments.
• Experience with building tools like Gradle or Maven.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and implement containerized web applications and services for the DoD.
• Collaborate with professionals and subject matter experts to sustain mission-critical software.
• Learn and contribute to Java, Groovy, Kotlin, and front-end tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities

Research, design, and implement innovative technologies for automating, integrating, and delivering containerized web applications and services for the Department of Defense (DoD) in an orchestrated and controlled manner.Day-to-day efforts include working with highly talented professionals and subject matter experts to design, implement, and sustain mission-critical software systems that provide US Navy warfighters with tools and resources for successfully planning and executing missions.Learn and contribute to development tasks in Java, Groovy, Kotlin, and/or front-end frameworks.Conduct manual and exploratory testing to ensure quality across a range of software systems.Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and traceability to requirements.Support efforts to enhance automation, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration.
