Job summary

Lyntris, a defense technology company in San Diego, is seeking a Software Engineer I for full-time, onsite work. The role focuses on researching, designing, and delivering containerized web applications and services for the DoD, with a strong emphasis on mission-critical systems and CI/CD automation.

Qualified candidates will have an active clearance or the ability to obtain one, an associate degree or higher in a related field, and at least two years of software development experience using

Minimum of two (2) years in software development.
Familiarity with Java, Groovy, Kotlin, or another OOP language.
Comfortable working in Linux environments.
Experience with building tools like Gradle or Maven.

Responsibilities

Research, design, and implement containerized web applications and services for the DoD in an orchestrated, controlled manner.
Collaborate with professionals to design, implement, and sustain mission-critical software systems for Navy warfighters.
Learn and contribute to development tasks in Java, Groovy, Kotlin, and/or front-end frameworks.
Conduct manual and exploratory testing to ensure quality across software systems.
Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and traceability to requirements.
Support efforts to enhance automation, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration.

Duties and Responsibilities

Research, design, and implement innovative technologies for automating, integrating, and delivering containerized web applications and services for the Department of Defense (DoD) in an orchestrated and controlled manner.

Day-to-day efforts include working with highly talented professionals and subject matter experts to design, implement, and sustain mission-critical software systems that provide US Navy warfighters with tools and resources for successfully planning and executing missions.

Learn and contribute to development tasks in Java, Groovy, Kotlin, and/or front-end frameworks.

Conduct manual and exploratory testing to ensure quality across a range of software systems.

Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and traceability to requirements.

Support efforts to enhance automation, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration.

Clearance Requirements

Some positions will require access to U.S. National Security information.
