Job summary

Arcfield in Middletown, Rhode Island is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and test integrated applications using C++ on Linux, React, MariaDB, and Python. You will participate in agile teams, perform code reviews, and help validate requirements and designs.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of software development experience, strong OO design, and hands-on Linux experience. Familiarity with Eclipse/VS Code, Jira/Confluence, and database systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
• 3-5 years of software development experience
• Experience with C++ (Linux), React, HTML, CSS, JSON
• Solid object-oriented software development and automated testing
• Experience with development under Linux-based systems
• Familiar with IDEs such as Eclipse and VS Code, and tools such as Bamboo, Maven, JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket
• Experienced with multiple network protocols, data transfer methods, and network debugging techniques
• Experienced with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technology field
  • Experience with C++ (Linux), React, HTML, CSS, JSON
  • Solid command of object-oriented software development and automated testing
  • Experience with development under Linux-based systems
  • Familiar with common IDE's such as Eclipse and VS Code, and tools such as Bamboo, Maven, JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket
  • Experienced with multiple network protocols, data transfer methods, and network debugging techniques
  • Experienced with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB.
• Strong problem solving, automated testing, and debugging capabilities
• Effective written and verbal skills
• Able to work and thrive in both individual and team-based development environments
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance

Equal Pay Act

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, Arcfield invests in its employees beyond just compensation.

Min: $72,826.14Max: $126,630.53
