Job summary

Seerist, Inc. is seeking a software engineer to join the Collections & Alerts team, building high-volume data ingestion and processing infrastructure for real-time intelligence. You will design event-driven systems, optimize schemas, and ensure observability across distributed services.

You will collaborate with intelligence analysts and product teams to translate requirements into scalable, performant solutions, while working in a hybrid Reston, VA environment with three in-office days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and debugging event-driven systems.
• Experience building high-volume, low-latency ingestion and processing pipelines.
• Hands-on work with AWS services (SQS, S3, ECR, CDK).
• Knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB).
• Familiarity with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch and full-text search strategies.
• Proficiency in instrumenting code for observability and debugging production issues.
• Understanding of microservices, async communication, and distributed systems.
