Job summary

AEITS, a GTSC company, seeks a Software Engineer, Level 1, to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain complex software solutions. This on-site role is based in the Annapolis Junction, Maryland area and requires Top Secret SCI clearance with appropriate polygraph.

Responsibilities include analyzing requirements, developing software, debugging, and integrating applications, with collaboration across engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver mission-critical systems in a SCIF

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience in similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 4 years of additional Software Engineer experience on projects with similar software processes may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user and system requirements to develop software design solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Integrate software into new and existing systems and operating environments.
• Develop and optimize database interfaces, queries, and data repositories.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and design artifacts.
• Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, development, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver mission-focused solutions.
• Support software quality assurance, configuration management, and release activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices
