AEITS, a GTSC company, seeks a Software Engineer, Level 1, for on-site work in a SCIF environment in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. Top Secret SCI clearance with polygraph is required. Annual salary ranges from $133,000 to $143,000.

Role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining complex software for mission-critical systems and large-scale data processing. Responsibilities include requirement analysis, software design, debugging, integration, and documentation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience supporting programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 4 years of additional Software Engineer experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user and system requirements to develop software design solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Integrate software into new and existing systems and operating environments.
• Develop and optimize database interfaces, queries, and data repositories.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and design artifacts.
• Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, development, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver mission‑focused solutions.
• Support software quality assurance, configuration management, and release activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.
