Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned software engineer in Minnesota to design, develop, and configure applications of intermediate complexity. You will work on Java-based backend with Spring Boot, microservices, AWS EKS, and collaborate across teams to ensure quality and reliability.

The role also requires frontend experience with JavaScript/TypeScript/React, Python/Node.js/AWS Lambda, and database work with PostgreSQL and Oracle. Strong Agile practices and GitHub/Jenkins workflows are expected.

Qualifications

• Three years of programming/development experience.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservice APIs, AWS EKS.
• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React.
• Experience with Python, Node.js, AWS Lambda.
• Experience with Postgres DB, Oracle DB.
• Experience with GitHub, AWS toolsets (CDK), Terraform, Jenkins.
• Experience with AI, GenAI.
• Experience with Agile Development Methodologies.
• Preferred AWS Cloud Certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or its equivalent in education and/or work experience.
• 2 additional years of software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, design, development, and configuration functions as well as define technical requirements for assignments of intermediate complexity.
• Participate with team to perform analysis, assessment and resolution for defects and incidents of intermediate complexity and elevate appropriately.
• Work within guidelines set by the team to independently tackle well‑scoped problems.
• Seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
