Job summary

Travelers Canada is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our technology team as we grow our cyber and underwriting platforms. You will perform intermediate engineering tasks across Elixir, Python, and JavaScript/React, contribute to design, coding, testing, and troubleshooting, and help implement scalable cloud-based solutions on AWS.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related STEM field and have at least two additional years of software engineering experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related STEM field or equivalent experience
• 2 additional years of software engineering experience

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end engineering tasks for system assignments including design, development, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot defects and incidents of intermediate complexity and escalate as needed.
• Collaborate within a team to tackle well-scoped problems and expand technical knowledge.
