Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Software Engineer I to contribute to our evolving technology landscape. You will perform end-to-end engineering tasks across systems, including analysis, configuration, testing and debugging, while supporting health monitoring and incident resolution.

Ideal candidates bring 3 years of programming experience with Typescript, AWS/Azure and Node, plus experience in C#, API development and AI (Claude code).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or equivalent
• 2+ years software engineering experience
• Experience with Typescript, AWS or Azure and Node required
• Experience with C#, API development and AI (Claude code) highly desired

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, design, development and configuration for intermediate complexity assignments.
• Collaborate with team to analyze defects and incidents and escalate as needed.
• Tackle well-scoped problems independently within guidelines.
• Expand technical knowledge and capabilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
