Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our Technology team in the U.S. This role will contribute to the BSI Cyber Scan platform, working across Elixir services, Python components, and a React frontend within an AWS environment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in CS or related STEM field and at least 2 years of software engineering experience, with comfort across multiple languages and systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related STEM field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with Elixir or willingness to learn Elixir; comfortable with multiple languages (Elixir, Python, JavaScript/React).
• Experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, RDS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, design, development, and configuration for intermediate complexity tasks.
• Collaborate with team to analyze, diagnose, and resolve defects and incidents of intermediate complexity; escalate when needed.
• Work within team guidelines to independently tackle well-scoped problems.
• Seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities.
