Job summary

Travelers is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Hartford, CT. You will design, develop, and deliver large-scale software with end-to-end ownership, guiding teams and influencing technical decisions across applications and platforms.

You will work with AWS, CI/CD, API development, and modern frameworks like React/Node.js, while mentoring others and driving quality, security, and performance in a collaborative, agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related STEM field.
• Minimum of five years of programming/development experience.
• Proven leadership of software engineering teams.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Proficiency in API development and IaC tools.
• Strong knowledge of modern JS/TS tooling and databases.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced software engineering tasks across large systems.
• Lead and mentor team members; drive technical direction.
