Job summary

Penske is seeking a Software Engineer I to join a diverse team and contribute to design, development, and support of business-critical applications. You will participate in all stages of the software lifecycle, troubleshoot issues, and mentor junior engineers on best practices.

You will work on backend and frontend components, collaborate with product owners to understand requirements, and help drive innovations for our next generation applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or equivalent software development experience
• 5-7 years experience with programming languages such as Java or RPG
• Full stack development experience with React, Angular, jQuery, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Spring/Spring-MVC, MyBatis and RESTful APIs

Responsibilities

• Lead design of software components for multiple projects.
• Support the full software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, release and support.
• Mentor junior engineers on software development best practices.
