Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Developer for the RMS TLS division to design, implement, and integrate training and simulation software across platforms. The role focuses on advanced capabilities in Prepar3D Fuse and leverages UE4 tools to deliver realistic, mission-ready training solutions.

The ideal candidate has a technical engineering or CS background, 2+ years of software development experience, and strong C++ skills. A Secret clearance is required for this position.

About The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer to join Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Training, Logistics, and Simulation (TLS) division. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects utilizing industry-leading game engines to develop advanced training solutions that enhance mission readiness. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing the TLS' Prepar3D Fuse product, which spans a range of applications from mobile devices to full-scale mission simulators. This position involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, and integrate innovative capabilities that contribute directly to saving lives and preparing military personnel for their most demanding missions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software development.
  • Proficiency in modern C++ programming language.
  • Hands-on experience with Unreal Engine (UE), including core aspects such as C++, Blueprint, Rendering, Optimization, Python, Sequencer, Movie Render Queue, and Control Rig.
  • Experience with source control systems, debuggers, profilers, and other software development tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at various levels.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

  • Participating in the full software development lifecycle, from initial design and development to final deployment and maintenance.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and implementing best practices in software engineering.
