Job summary

FamilyWell is a healthcare‑focused platform building registry and integration capabilities for clinical and operational data. We are seeking a seasoned full stack developer to ship features across the Registry platform and to integrate core healthcare tools.

You will design APIs, ensure data integrity, and collaborate with Product, Data, and Clinical Operations in a fast‑paced, remote startup environment. Strong testing discipline and experience with Postgres, AWS, and AI‑powered tools are

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of professional software engineering experience as a full stack developer
• Proficiency with a modern JavaScript/TypeScript stack (React/Next.js, Node.js or Python)
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (Postgres preferred)
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and integrating with third‑party SaaS tools
• Comfort working across the full stack from UI to backend services to data layer
• Strong testing discipline and code quality habits
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, remote startup environment
• Experience using AI‑powered development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor)

Responsibilities

• Experience in healthcare or a regulated industry (HIPAA/PHI familiarity)
• Hands‑on experience with healthcare platforms (Healthie, Spruce, Candid, athenahealth)
• Healthcare data experience (Snowflake, dbt, Sigma)
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, X12/837-835)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions)
• Prior experience at an early‑stage startup
