Zusammenfassung

Hims & Hers is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead and implement scalable full stack solutions for patient-facing experiences and backend services. You will design across frontend interfaces and backend integrations, collaborating with product, design, and data teams to deliver measurable impact for patients.

The role emphasizes data-informed decisions, performance, and reliability, with mentorship to engineers and guidance on best practices within a remote-first, healthcare-focused environment.

Qualifikationen

  • 5+ years of professional experience building production web products with strong full stack skills in React/Next.js and Node/TypeScript (or similar).
  • Strong analytical and data skills, including event instrumentation and SQL basics or data partner collaboration.
  • Fluency in web performance optimization and modern UI engineering with clear presentation of complex data.
  • Deep product mindset balancing UX, copy, and architecture; experiences with iterative, testable solutions.
  • Experience with Agile development and CI/CD pipelines, plus automated testing.
  • Proficiency in front end (HTML, CSS, JS, React, Next.js, GraphQL) and back end (Node.js, Nest.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, SQS).
  • Experience shipping experiment-driven features and using feature flags/explist platforms like GrowthBook or LaunchDarkly.
  • Bonus: healthcare or regulated domains (HIPAA/PHI) familiarity or third-party integrations.

  • As a Senior Engineer, you will be a hands on technical leader responsible for building and optimizing the patient facing experiences and back end services that power our platform
  • You will design, build, and iterate across the full stack, from modern, performant front end interfaces to reliable back end services and integrations with external partners, ensuring every feature is accurate, dependable, and delivers measurable impact for patients
  • In this role, you will collaborate closely with product, design, operations, data, and other engineering teams to launch new features and workflows, improve the user experience, and refine the patient journey
  • By combining strong technical execution with a product minded, data informed approach, you will help more patients get meaningful value from our platform while improving the overall quality, reliability, and performance of the systems you own
  • Lead the design and architecture of scalable, performant full stack solutions that meet product requirements and enhance the patient experience
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers on best practices, design patterns, and coding standards
  • Advocate for your team’s technical priorities and ensure alignment within the broader engineering organization
  • Participate in product discovery sessions to assess feasibility, explore patient needs, and validate ideas through prototypes and experiments
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive, engaging interfaces that help patients understand and act on their information, improving completion and engagement
  • Build and maintain reliable, well monitored integrations with external partners and internal systems, with strong attention to data accuracy, privacy, and compliance
  • Work closely with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and communication across systems and services
  • Contribute to the team’s technical vision by identifying strategic technologies and investments that improve scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Break down complex projects into clear, actionable tasks and lead execution to successful outcomes
  • Elevate engineering standards by improving workflows, processes, and tools to increase development velocity and quality
  • Analyze product, operational, and patient feedback metrics to identify optimization opportunities and drive continuous improvement
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for architecture, integrations, experiments, and development processes
  • Conduct code reviews and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives across the team
  • Model a culture of open communication, feedback, and continuous learning by coaching and supporting teammates at all levels
