Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Software Engineer, Fleet Mapping in Foster City, CA to join the autonomy software team. You will design, train, and validate models, integrate them into the offboard mapping pipeline, and collaborate with validation teams to ensure robust mappings.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of C++ experience, a strong grasp of networking (UDP), and a track record in resilient distributed systems, with clear communication and ownership from research through deployment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of C++ experience.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, ideally UDP.
• Experience with highly resilient distributed systems.
• Excellent communication across teams and validation workflows.
• Ability to own end-to-end model development activities from research to integration.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to offline mapping by designing, training, validating, and integrating models that detect semantic map elements.
• Research, implement, and train ML models for semantic map element detection to support navigation.
• Curate, validate and label datasets for model training and validation.
• Integrate trained models into the offboard mapping pipeline and automate new features.
• Leverage ML infrastructure to accelerate development and collaborate with validation teams on pipelines.
