Job summary

Amazon is seeking a software engineer to own end-to-end payment system features, partnering with product managers and finance teams. You will design, implement, test, deploy, and document features, while collaborating with senior engineers to align with architecture goals.

You will apply AI-driven development practices, ship incrementally with staged rollout, and focus on reducing manual toil through automation and maintainable design.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience on large systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Responsibilities

• Own features and components of our payment systems end-to-end
• Work with product managers and business stakeholders to understand needs
• Ship incrementally with staged rollout and measurement
• Reduce operational load with self-healing mechanisms
• Mentor engineers and promote code review as a teaching tool
