Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture is seeking a Software Engineer to help build scalable, production-grade services enabling our emerging products to launch, localize, and scale in the U.S. market. You will own core service development, ensure system reliability, and drive CI/CD pipelines and monitoring integrations.

Located in California with an emphasis on on-site collaboration, you will join a fast-paced team that values rapid iteration and architectural planning to support long-term growth and scale.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline with industry experience.
• 1+ years experience as a software engineer with proven contributions to team-based projects.
• Solid programming skills, proficient in C/C++ and Python with a strong grasp of data structure and algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Core Service Development: Design, build, and deploy production-grade, highly concurrent services.
• System Scalability & Reliability: Implement best practices for ensuring system reliability, performance tuning, and optimizing application efficiency under heavy load.
• Infrastructure and Operations: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and integrate services with monitoring and logging tools.
• Architectural Design: Participate in technical design reviews, identifying and addressing technical debt, and defining future system architecture to support long-term growth.
